The Tricycle Regulatory Unit (TRU) System was developed to provide a comprehensive digital platform for managing the regulatory processes of tricycles and specific franchises within the Municipality of Daet. The system automates and streamlines essential functions such as:

Renewal of tricycle franchises and specific franchises

Processing of motor change applications

Transfer of franchise ownership

Management of operator and driver records

Generation of reports and official printouts
The TRU System was designed with scalability in mind, making it adaptable for future integrations with other governance tools such as the Electronic Violation Tracking System (EVTS) and potential modules for transportation management.
This initiative supports the mandates of:

Republic Act 7160 (Local Government Code of 1991) – empowering LGUs to regulate tricycles-for-hire and manage their franchise operations to promote public welfare.

Department of Transportation (DOTr) and DILG Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2008-01 – providing guidelines for the planning, regulation, and monitoring of tricycle operations.
